Ian brings over thirty five years business experience having spent his career working in both the public and private sectors, worldwide, from large multi-nationals to start-ups. He joined Sysdoc in 2007 as an adviser to the board, in 2008 became group chairman.
Ian has strong business strategy, business development and eCommerce skills, and has a detailed knowledge of corporate governance, including the latest requirements of UK and European codes.
Previously Ian was a Non-Executive Director of Vega plc until its successful sale in January 2008. He also had a role as an adviser to the UK board of a major Japanese Investment bank and was seconded to HM Government to lead the 'Competing for Quality' initiative, to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Civil Service by the introduction of private sector competition.
Apart from helping bring up a young family, Ian is a keen horse rider, competing on his own horses at club level. He trains in a gym regularly and when time permits SCUBA dives. He enjoys reading and listening to music.
