Sysdoc won the 2017 LearnX GOLD award for Best Online Learning Model and SILVER award for Workplace Health & Safety with Fonterra Safe Works Systems.
The potential impact of an adverse event is managed under the Safe Work Systems program at Fonterra. The Safe Works Systems refresher learning module is an interactive video project that reflects the real working environment emphasising practices required and the behaviours expected on site. The module includes specialised content, national legislation, company standards, and requires learners to make real decisions with consequences in their everyday environment.
Safe Works Systems will provide visibility, standardised training communication and delivery, an improved education model and minimization of workplace time delays. A secondary benefit from the module has resulted from the use of xAPI and resulting data outputs. Fonterra can now leverage data to validate workforce capabilities, minimise knowledge gaps and informed content updates.

Sysdoc won the 2017 LearnX GOLD award for Best eLearning Design with Fonterra The Way We Work Hotline.
The Way We Work Hotline Investigation eLearning covers the independent, confidential service for Fonterra employees to report internal issues like theft, fraud, corruption, harassment, misconduct or unethical behavior. The course explains the fundamental principles that investigators must adhere to, and the techniques they must use.
The module was developed in a film noir style that made the course stand out, and the humour incorporated by our Instructional Designer helped deliver a serious topic in a light-hearted manner. Using Articulate Storyline 2 assets, combined with Adobe Illustrator graphics and supplemented by Adobe Flash animations, this module is an engaging, visually appealing experience for all users.
Best eLearning Simulation - LearnX Awards 2017 - SILVER
Sysdoc won the 2017 LearnX SILVER award for Best eLearning Simulation with New Zealand Defence Force.
Sysdoc worked with The New Zealand Defence Force to develop a user-focused digital solution. This included NZDF-based video scenarios, interactive simulations overlaid onto live SharePoint and an objective-driven user interface. The solution supported the Defence Document Management System (DDMS), an organisation-wide SharePoint based solution to change the information culture of the NZDF
from need to know, to need to share.
Sysdoc developed a training solution suitable for a technologically diverse audience of approximately 10,000. The solution provided consistent messaging on the cultural shift towards information sharing through engaging content, user accessibility, learner progress metrics, security requirements, longevity and allowances for future system enhancements.
Workplace Health & Safety - LearnX Awards 2017 - SILVER
Sysdoc won the 2017 LearnX SILVER Workplace Health & Safety award with Fonterra Contractor Induction.
All New Zealand contractors operating at a Fonterra site are required to complete a Health and Safety induction prior to starting any onsite work, and all existing contractors must complete the training annually to retain their credentials to work at Fonterra sites.
Sysdoc Learning Specialists worked with Fonterra to develop an easy-to-use online training course that provided the following benefits. An engaging, consistent and repeatable method of delivering content to contractors 24/7, segmentation of contractor induction topics for improved visibility of contractor certification and further learning requirements, and supporting Fonterra’s ambition to ensure employees and contractors are healthy, live with balance, and go home safely every day, everywhere.
Sysdoc’s updates to Fonterra’s Contractor Induction modules have highlighted the cost saving benefits of eLearning modules when applied to training requirements with high user numbers. Contractor Induction has resulted in significant cost savings, with the H&S module alone resulting in a 78.5% cost reduction per user after one year.
Innovation of the Year - New Zealand Association for Training and Development Awards - Winner 2016
Sysdoc was awarded Innovation of the Year for the “Trust in Source” Food Safety Quality (FSQ) board-game at the New Zealand Association for Training and Development awards.
Developed through applying a design thinking approach to an existing education process that was lacking in effectiveness and learner engagement, the FSQ board-game is delivered in a format that requires learners to partake in tough discussions in a safe environment and requires demonstration of problem solving skills, process knowledge and legislation and laws related to roles.
This award is strong evidence of Sysdoc’s expertise in the areas of needs analysis and programme design and a great demonstration of their industry leading creative and innovative learning services offered. Originally developed for Fonterra's New Zealand manufacturing and corporate workforce, the game has since been extended into multiple languages and additional business functions in multiple global locations with user numbers well into the thousands.

Manager Quickstart is an eLearning module developed for under $10k that provides new people managers at Fonterra with an overview of the systems they will encounter in their role. The module provides detail on what the systems are used for, where to access them, what their responsibilities are in relation to them, the impact if actions are not completed and where to go for additional training and information.
The high quality, low cost model that Sysdoc developed and delivered Manager Quickstart under showcases the ability for custom training solutions to be cost competitive and challenges the notion that off-the-shelf solutions are the most cost effective learning model.

Dairy PRO aims at raising the commercial acumen of Fonterra staff through critical analysis and raising business partnering and relationships through cross-functional problem solving.
The programme is a social, experiential blended learning program for dairy professionals, spanning ten modules that connects people and ideas through a blended program of learning experiences, culminating in team-work solutions to a commercial case study per topic, across the entire value chain of Fonterra.
PRO has set a new standard for effective learning at Fonterra and resulted in further requests for Sysdoc to take their instructional design approach and blended learning programs to the broader organization.

Best Game/Simulation - LearnX Impact Awards 2015 - Silver Winner 2015Sysdoc has won the Silver award for Best Game/Simulation at the 2015 LearnX Impact Awards for the interactive learning game 'Keep Calm & Optimise' developed for Fonterra.
The choice of an online game format was a natural fit for achieving the learning objectives of this project given that the mechanics of the subject matter in the real world were very ‘game-like’ themselves. The game format also met the needs of a large audience spread across various geographies, time-zones and business functions. This project exceeded the client requirement for an educational experience that was on-demand, innovative, collaborative and fun beyond the usual instructional methods. The learning objectives were built into the game through the mechanics, feedback loop and reward system of the game.
Best Social Learning Platform - LearnX Impact Awards 2014 - Gold Winner 2014Sysdoc was recognised by the LearnX for ‘High Maintenance’ a SharePoint portal developed by Sysdoc. The portal provides one location for the business unit’s people to find all their updates and training and contains a troubleshooting wiki, and a Process Zone which presents the team’s processes in simple steps using terminology that the staff understand. The platform includes an online discussion forum which supports the social learning solution.
